What do you do with the materials?

The materials are brought to our Los Angeles or Washington warehouses. They are weighed and sorted into CRT, PC and miscellaneous items. Once sorted, we dismantle by hand to lessen the damage of reusable materials. The product is separated into its different components such as glass, wood, metal, circuit board, battery, plastic, etc. These are separated, organized, and packed – ready to send to our downstream vendors who will further process them.

How do I set up a collection event?

You must contact our Events Specialist, who will help you step by step on coordinating a successful e-waste collection event for your organization. We advise that you contact at least 1-2 months in advance to schedule due to a high reservation level.

What other services do you provide?

We offer a full range of electronic waste solutions.

    • EWC provides a cost effective solution for secure on-site or off-site data destruction services. Upon request, we will shred your hard drives and provide a Certificate of Destruction (small fee is applied).
    • EWC offers full asset management and resale evaluation services. Our IT department specializes in refurbishing reusable products.
    • EWC offers convenient complimentary collection bins to clients upon request.

What types of items can be recycled?

CRT (old, large TVs and monitors), LCD TVs and monitors, Plasma TVs, PCs, laptops, keyboards, mouse, hard drives, personal electronic devices (i.e. ipad, Galaxy tab, Amazon kindle), cell phones, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines, A/V equipments, projectors, CD/DVD players, CD/DVD/floppy disks, car batteries. We also accept household appliances such as microwaves, washers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, etc.

  • All of our schools, teachers and students that work with eWaste Center are so excited to be partnering with a great company that does not export electronic waste to third world countries!

  • We’ve worked with eWaste Center for several years to do an annual electronic waste collection event. The coordinators have always been available to help us plan and they show up to oversee the event. It couldn't be easier... our staff unlocks the parking lot gate and EWC does the rest. EWC prints banners to supplement our press releases in local papers and radio to advertise the event to the larger community. Our parents appreciate the chance to bring old electronic goods while helping the school raise funds. Local businesses especially like that they can discard their old electronics without having to pay to have them recycled.

    Phil Williams, Pasadena Christian School

  • Partnered with eWaste Center to conduct an e-waste collection event. Great way to protect the environment, raise a few dollars, and connect with our supporters. Their staff is great to work with and they take care of everything to insure that you have the tools to make your event a success. Already thinking about doing another event with them. Plus, we were able to clean up some of our own old monitors and computers.

  • EWC workers were punctual, polite, hard-working and overall great! Very professional! Thanks again.

  • Coordinating the event with eWaste Center was very quick and easy. The people who work there are friendly and are good about following-up with their clients. They provided us with banners and flyers to promote at our campus and our neighborhood. They continued to support through out the months leading up to the event. We have already done two events with them and are planning on a third one this year. Thanks for the support eWaste Center!
